# PREPdata

The [Partnership for Resilience and Preparedness (PREP)](https://www.prepdata.org/about) is a public-private collaboration that seeks to improve access to useful data and empower communities and businesses to better plan and build their climate resilience. It brings together research institutions, government agencies, adaptation practitioners, and technology companies to improve access to data, create best-in-class tools, and help people navigate the complicated resilience planning landscape.

The partnership supports [PREPdata](https://www.prepdata.org), a map-based, open data online platform that allows users to access and visualize spatial data on climate and the physical and socioeconomic landscape for climate adaptation and resilience planning. The platform focuses on global coverage, with an emphasis on increasing access to datasets for the Global South.<br>
