European Space Agency’s (CCI) of the European Space Agency aims to leverage the Agency’s earth observation data to contribute to the “Essential Climate Variables” (ECVs) databases required by the UNFCCC. (For more detail on ECVs, see below under Global Climate Observing System.) The CCI consists of fourteen parallel projects geared to ECV data production and a providing centralized access to all data products. The CCI also includes a dedicated climate modeling user project for assessment of the products and a to facilitate the combining and analysis of the products.
