The Open Data Charter will work with a number of governments to test the hypothesis behind the Guide that open data can help tackle corruption.

In 2017, the Charter teamed up with the government of Mexico and national civil society groups to road test this guide and ensure that it helps to address real life challenges. The project largely confirmed this report’s approach. It also highlighted some of the challenges that governments face when trying to open up data. For a more detailed understanding of the project’s reports, take a look at this .

This Guide is a living document and we’re planning to update it. Please feel free to add any comments to this Google doc, or get in touch with the Charter team directly at: .
